- Atlanta Black Pride this past weekend was the first of the community events prioritized by CDC for enhanced MPV outreach. During Atlanta Black Pride, community-based organizations partnered with the local health department to bring MPV vaccination to the community in downtown, midtown and beyond.

- Community service providers have rapidly moved to address MPV, but frequently without financial support from state or local governments, which is stressing many organizations.
- California legislators last week approved $41 million in new funding for the state’s MPV response. A portion of this funding will be allocated to community service providers.
